Phnom Penh, February 6, 2026 — The Land Allocation for Social and Economic Development III (LASED III) project team and the World Bank today held a kick-off meeting for the 8th Implementation Support Mission (ISM) at the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC).
Presided over by H.E. Khieu Borin, Under Secretary of State and LASED III Project Coordinator, the meeting aimed to review overall project progress, identify implementation challenges encountered to date, and go through the action plan for the upcoming year.
The Implementation Support Mission, conducted every six months by the World Bank’s technical team, helps to monitor project implementation by MLMUPC and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), and to provide technical guidance to support effective project delivery.
During the meeting, the LASED III team presented overall progress across the project’s four components: (i) Selection and Development Planning of Social Land Concessions (SLC) and Indigenous Communal Land Titling (ICLT); (ii) Community Infrastructure Development; (iii) Agriculture and Livelihood Development; and (iv) Project Management, Coordination, and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E).
