Oddar Meanchey (February 26, 2026) — H.E. So Khanrithykun, Secretary of State and Chairman of the Steering Committee for the LASED III Project under the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, presided over a ceremony on Thursday to distribute household supplies to families moving to social land concession (SLC) site in Pongro commune, Chongkal district, Oddar Meanchey province.
A total of 333 landless and land-poor households have been moving to SLC plots in Pongor commune, granted by the Royal Government through LASED III with support from the World Bank. The start-up support materials each family received from the project included solar lanterns, tents, 1,000-liter water containers, water purifier buckets, mats, mosquito nets, blankets, rice, and basic kitchen supplies.
At the ceremony, H.E. So Khanrithykun conveyed his gratitude to all stakeholders, particularly the beneficiary families, for their active engagement in the project. He urged the recipients to move to their allocated plots promptly and begin establishing their new homes and livelihoods.
The ceremony took place at the social land concession site in Pongro commune, with attendance from representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Deputy Governor of Oddar Meanchey, related provincial departments in Oddar Meanchey, and local authorities.
