Phnom Penh, January 5, 2026 — The Land Allocation for Social and Economic Development III (LASED III) project team and the World Bank held a Technical Check-in Meeting today at the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC) to review progress on agreed actions.
Presided over by H.E Khieu Borin, Under Secretary of State and LASED III’s Project Coordinator, the meeting aimed to assess technical progress and status of the project implementation based on action points agreed during World Bank’s 7th Implementation Support Mission (ISM) in June 2025.
The ISM is conducted every six months by the World Bank’s technical team to monitor the project progress and implementation by MLMUPC and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), and to provide technical guidance to help advance the project implementation.
Discussions during the meeting focused on progress across the project’s four components: (i) Selection and Development Planning of Social Land Concessions (SLC) and Indigenous Communal Land Titling (ICLT); (ii) Community Infrastructure Development; (iii) Agriculture and Livelihood Development; and (iv) Project Management, Coordination, and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E).
