(Phnom Penh): The President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AmCham Cambodia) praised Cambodia’s efforts in the digital environment and said that Cambodia is a country that is easy for investors because Cambodia has complete political stability and security, which is a catalyst for investors to have high confidence in investing in Cambodia.

Taking this opportunity, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, mentioned some potential sectors for investment by foreign investors in Cambodia. HE stated that Cambodia can cooperate in the real estate sector for American investors, who in this real estate sector need agility and transparency about the digital environment.

Speaking at a courtesy meeting and working discussion between the delegation of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia and the leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction at the Ministry’s office on the afternoon of October 22, 2024.

Meanwhile, HE the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the work of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, especially in relation to the registration of land plots to create a dispute-free environment throughout the country. HE said that Cambodia considers Prince Norodom Sihanouk to be the symbol of the father of national independence, while Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen is the symbol of the father of peace, and Samdech Maha Bovorathi Hun Manet is the father of contemporary Cambodia. Currently, Cambodia is changing its face, without worrying about conflicts or other disputes. We focus only on our own development and strive to attract more investors to invest in Cambodia.

Cambodia does not discriminate against any race or religion, and is a country that provides sufficient freedom and rights, and its citizens live in harmony. Currently, our main priority is to ensure that citizens can live in peace, have enough housing and food, have jobs, receive a decent income, and have the ability to travel anywhere.

Regarding the cooperation between the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal requested the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia to examine the possibility of mobilizing more American investors to invest.

In response, the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia agreed and discussed further the points of possible cooperation and thanked the ministry for listening to the challenges and concerns of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia and trying to find appropriate solutions. At the same time, the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia praised the achievements of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction in the past year and supported and thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for its close cooperation with the private sector.

It should be noted that currently, there are a number of US companies that are actively investing in the IT technology, management, construction and real estate development sectors in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The mission of the American Chamber of Commerce focuses on promoting trade and investment between Cambodia and the United States, especially trying to mobilize American investors to invest more in Cambodia to help improve the lives of Cambodian people.
