What is wrongful possession?
Wrongful possession refers to wrongful possession, rightful but wrongful possession, peaceful possession, and non-public possession. Let’s get to know the four forms of wrongful possession:
• Wrongful possession refers to possession with prior knowledge that one has no authority to occupy, also known as unlawful possession
• Rightful but wrongful possession refers to possession without prior knowledge that one has no authority or intention to occupy unlawfully
• Peaceful possession refers to possession by force
• Non-public possession refers to possession in secret, without anyone knowing or seeing the object of possession.
