Ms. Kim Shomi expressed her warm congratulations to His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister for his appointment as Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction. She thanked him for his continued support for GGGI’s projects and programs for Cambodia and for his past recommendations during his tenure as Minister of Environment.
Ms. Kim Shomi presented and requested strategic direction for the Asia Low Carbon Transition Project (ALCBT) and requested guidance on project implementation methods to align with the priorities of the Royal Government. She also requested office space for GGGI at the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, which would enable the Institute’s green building technical experts to work closely with the Ministry’s technical units on these focus areas.
In response, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister warmly welcomed GGGI and outlined key visions for continuing to improve urban planning and city planning in line with the current and future living contexts. HE Say Samal supports cooperation with GGGI, especially on the concepts of green building and low carbon urban design, starting from small projects for harmonious living in modern, clean, and smart cities of contemporary society under the shade of peace.
HE Deputy Prime Minister encouraged the search for green finance sources to contribute to sustainable urbanization.
HE Deputy Prime Minister allowed the GGGI team to use office space in the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction to work closely with the ministry.
