Kandal: His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal requested the Provincial Government, Provincial Council, and local authorities, villages, communes, districts, and volunteers to join in using all their strength to accelerate the land registration work in Kandal province to be effective and successful as planned, aiming to benefit the people and ensure the security of legal land ownership.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister spoke at a meeting to promote and support the land registration work in Kandal province on the afternoon of November 14, 2023, with the participation of the Provincial Government, Provincial Council, city and district governors, and local authorities throughout Kandal province.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister stated that Kandal province is the third province after Kampong Speu and Kampong Cham provinces to prepare to implement land registration work in the 7th mandate.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister said that land registration work is a core work, requiring the Ministry of Land Management to lead the political, financial, and technical work, while the operators are the provincial administration and the people in the province, who must cooperate in checking the land boundaries while the working group is surveying the land so that the land registration process can proceed smoothly. The gathering is to prepare for the launch of a land registration campaign for citizens, as well as state and private institutions in Kandal province.
His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister also presented technical equipment and materials for systematic land registration in Kandal province, including 80 DGPS machines, 10 laptops and accessories, 7 desktop computers and accessories, and 8 printers.
It is worth noting that the Royal Government of Cambodia, 7th term of the National Assembly, has launched the first phase of the Pentagon Strategy, which includes deepening land reform and urbanization with the establishment of a three-point land policy, including systematic land registration, out-of-court settlement of land disputes, and providing transparent and efficient land administration services to citizens, aiming to improve the living standards of citizens.
Land registration work to continue to provide ownership certificates to people quickly as a basis for economic resources and security of land tenure is the fifth priority of the 15-point policy priorities set by the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, based on the priorities of the Pentagon Strategy in the Fourth Pentagon, the Fourth Angle.
