The Memorandum of Understanding signed today has four main objectives:

1. Deploy the verify.gov.kh document verification platform for verifying documents of the Cambodian Civil Service Commission (CCC) that include a standard QR Code

2. Prepare a digital technology system for implementation in the CCC

3. Prepare infrastructure and internet connectivity for use in the CCC

4. Collaborate in developing a digital technology platform to participate in the development of the land management, urban planning, and construction sectors.

All of these are priority work activities to accelerate the implementation of digital government in line with the Cambodian Digital Government Policy 2022-2035 and the 5th Pentagon of the Pentagon Strategy, Phase 1. The cooperation in deploying the verify.gov.kh document verification platform on the CCC documents today is another new step that demonstrates the Royal Government of Cambodia’s concern for citizens through building a digital government to ensure better public service delivery.

On the occasion of the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between the two ministries, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal and HE Minister Chea Vandet also officially launched the “My Cambodian Homeland Library (cmhl.gov.kh)”, which can be considered a digital national map, created under the noble initiative of HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal and with technical support from the Ministry of Communications.

My Cambodian Homeland Library will allow all ministries and institutions to use and include important information related to geographical locations and information according to the sectors of each ministry and institution. All information contained in this digital national map can be used in analysis and study to prepare economic and social development plans and can be used to solve related problems. For example, in the telecommunications sector, the Ministry of Communications can enter data on telecommunications antenna stations into My Cambodian Homeland Library, and we can know how many telecommunications antenna stations there are in each commune, district or province and where they are located.

Meanwhile, the technical teams of the K.N.R.S. and the K.R.C. have been working together to prepare and include a standard QR Code on the real estate owner identification certificate, which will allow the accuracy of the information on the real estate owner identification certificate to be verified through the document verification website verify.gov.kh and the location of the land plot can be seen on the Cambodia My Homeland website.
