(Phnom Penh): His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Sam Al, Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, supports Vietnamese investors to expand their diversification not only in rubber but also in other areas such as processing animal feed or various types of cakes made from Cambodian cashews, and is committed to completing all land registration work for Vietnamese companies in Cambodia.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister made this statement on the occasion of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister allowing representatives of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Association in Cambodia to pay a courtesy call and discuss work on the morning of December 5, 2023 at the Ministry’s headquarters.

He said that despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 crisis, the members of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Association in Cambodia have worked hard to achieve an output exceeding the target by 5% to 7%. He also said that currently, there is also an agricultural food processing association interested in studying in Phnom Sruoch district, Kampong Speu province, which may establish an agricultural processing factory there. He hopes that when these industrial associations, which are owned by Vietnamese investors, invest in Cambodia in the future, they will receive continued encouragement and support from His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister during the mandate of the new Royal Government led by His Excellency President Hun Sen.
In response, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal congratulated the achievements of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Association in Cambodia, which also helped create many jobs for Cambodian people. His Excellency considers Vietnam’s progress as well as Cambodia’s progress. Cambodia once helped Vietnam achieve territorial unity, and Vietnam once helped Cambodia escape from the genocidal regime. Cambodia and Vietnam are friendly and brotherly countries, and the economies of Cambodia and Vietnam have been highly integrated, and the trade between the two countries has also increased year by year.
Since the Vietnam Rubber Industry Association in Cambodia has a clear structure and proper leadership, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal believes that it is a good thing for Vietnamese companies to consider expanding their diversification not only into rubber, but also into other areas such as processing animal feed or various types of cakes made from cashew nuts.
On that occasion, HE Deputy Prime Minister stated that we focus on the potential of the land, what type of land can be used for what, so that we can organize the city according to the potential of the land well, and HE Deputy Prime Minister will complete all land registration work for Vietnamese companies in Cambodia. HE Deputy Prime Minister believes that the leaders of Cambodia and Vietnam are working hard to accelerate national development and maintain peace, stability, harmony and prosperity for the people of both countries.
