(Phnom Penh): Seeing the potential of Cambodia’s economy, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, has urged businessmen and Japanese companies to invest more with Cambodian companies to receive benefits from the Royal Government of Cambodia and to contribute to the further development of the Cambodian economy.
HE spoke at the 4th Public-Private Forum on Cambodia-Japan Urban Development, which was organized at the Ministry’s headquarters on December 21, 2023. The forum was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction of Cambodia and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, as well as the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, the Cambodian Builders Association, the Cambodian Housing Developers Association, the Cambodian Real Estate Appraisers Association, and Cambodian investment companies and businessmen.
His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude and high appreciation for the organization of the 4th Public-Private Forum on Cambodia-Japan Urbanization Development, which was organized with the aim of continuing to promote business and investment from Japan to Cambodia on the development of urbanization projects, focusing on smart city development and real estate development. It also demonstrated the cooperation and confidence of Japanese investors in the potential of the Cambodian economy, and through this forum, the solidarity and friendship of the two nations, namely Cambodia and Japan, will be further strengthened.
His Excellency added that the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction of Cambodia will do everything within its competence to cooperate and facilitate all investors with pleasure.
At the same time, His Excellency Say Samal also deeply thanked the Japanese government and people for the support they have provided to the Cambodian people through many achievements such as infrastructure, roads, bridges, irrigation systems, clean water, training for civil servants, and many other sectors.
