(Phnom Penh): His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, encouraged the Jewelry and Precious Gems Association to transform the jewelry and precious stones industry into an industry that helps boost Cambodia’s economic growth by not only increasing domestic sales but also promoting cooperation in selling jewelry and precious stones to countries around the world.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister spoke at a meeting with the Cambodia Jewelry and Precious Gems Traders Association at the Ministry’s office on the afternoon of December 27, 2023.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal expressed strong support and encouragement for the activities of the Cambodia Jewelry and Precious Gems Traders Association that have been carried out in the past until now. At the same time, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister advised the association to collaborate with Russia and Belgium, which are famous for jewelry and precious stones, and supported the association’s project to organize a jewelry beauty pageant, which can bring Cambodia to the world and attract more tourists and investors to Cambodia.
His Excellency stated that all of this can only happen if the country is peaceful, initiated by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister, and continued by Samdech Maha Bovorathi Hun Manet, Prime Minister, who continues to lead the nation and the Cambodian people towards harmony and progressive development in all sectors.
The Cambodian Jewelry and Precious Gems Traders Association is a non-profit association established to support the Cambodian economy by mobilizing investors to invest in Cambodia. The association has partners from the ASEAN community and all countries around the world. The association plans to organize the Jewelry and Precious Gems Exhibition in March 2024 after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 crisis.
