In a courtesy meeting with researchers from the National University of Management and the technical working group to present progress and collect input on the research project on the process of organizing and developing urban planning in the capital, province, and city on the afternoon of January 26, 2024 at the Ministry’s office, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, expressed his belief that peace in Cambodia can be maintained if the Cambodian people are intelligent people who know themselves and what is around them and the world. HE said that if we cannot meet these points, we will fall into the abyss of geopolitical intrigue again and again. The world is always evolving, so HE believes in the initiative of the Cambodian people, meaning not only the initiative of the Cambodian People’s Party or the Royal Government, but of all of us.
HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal stated that when HE took office as Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, HE intended to fulfill one task: building human resources in the field related to land management, urban planning, and construction. On that occasion, HE Professor Hor Peng also accepted and supported the recommendations of HE Deputy Prime Minister.
HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal’s vision is based on the political program of the Cambodian People’s Party that was presented to the Cambodian people during the election campaign. His Excellency President Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has taken these policies and put them into the first phase of the Pentagon Strategy, which has five priority areas: people, roads, water, electricity, and digital technology. In addition, HE Deputy Prime Minister also submitted a report to the President, which has three main areas: official capacity, institutional capacity, and motivating officials to promote the success of the civil service reform work.
HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal highlighted the historical truth of Cambodia that has gone through many stages and the values of the Cambodian People’s Party in seeking peace for the nation through the initiative of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party, and continuing the legacy of peace through Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party, currently Prime Minister.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal praised the researchers of the National University of Management and the technical team for their ability and talent in studying, researching, developing themselves, and understanding themselves to increase their capabilities in research projects on the process of organizing and developing the urban planning of the capital, provinces, and cities for the better.
