(Takeo): For Takeo province, only about 220,000 land plots remain to be fully registered according to the plan planned in the 7th term. This task requires cooperation and acceptance of a common vision from the Takeo provincial authorities.

This was stated by HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, at a meeting to discuss the preparation of land registration in the geography of Takeo province on the afternoon of January 29, 2024.

HE Deputy Prime Minister said that land management, urban planning and construction cannot be implemented alone, but must be implemented with the cooperation of all relevant parties so that the work can proceed smoothly and effectively. The main task to be implemented is to build internal unity and solidarity in the field of land management, urban planning and construction, and HE believes that this is an important and necessary thing to prepare for the journey forward in this 7th term.

On that occasion, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal also presented equipment to the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastre of Takeo Province to promote land registration work, including 20 computers, 10 A4 printers, 3 A3 printers and 10 scanners.

HE Deputy Prime Minister informed about the vision of the Royal Government of Cambodia to think about how to prepare Cambodian citizens to live on their land in harmony, prosperity, decent housing, reasonable income to support their livelihood, enough food, a clean living environment, good health and access to education.

With this, land registration is an end to land disputes in Cambodia and strengthens the security of legal land tenure, promoting the use of land to its full potential, which will certainly reduce poverty, which is the ultimate goal of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s policy to promote land registration.
