(Phnom Penh): The National Cadastral Commission, the Tonle Sap Authority, local authorities, and relevant ministries and institutions have agreed to designate the entire Tonle Sap Lake area for systematic land registration.

This agreement was made at an inter-ministerial meeting to promote land registration work in the Tonle Sap Lake area on the morning of January 30, 2024 at the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal said that the meeting is to promote the use of the total strength of ministries, relevant institutions, the strength of the six provinces around the Tonle Sap Lake, including the Tonle Sap Authority, to accelerate land registration work in the Tonle Sap Lake area quickly, effectively, and efficiently, and to prepare to update maps to manage, conserve, and develop the Tonle Sap Lake area sustainably.
