(Sihanoukville): The third wastewater treatment plant in Sihanoukville province was officially inaugurated on the morning of March 22, 2024.

His Excellency Say Samal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, said that the wastewater treatment plant is a piece of the overall infrastructure that we need to build to support economic growth and create jobs for the people of Sihanoukville province.

His Excellency highly appreciated the efforts of the leaders of Sihanoukville province who have devoted their strength and wisdom to leading the province, as well as their efforts to achieve the achievements of the wastewater treatment plant that was inaugurated today.

The achievements in Sihanoukville province actively respond to the policy of the 7th Royal Government to transform Sihanoukville province or the coastal area into an economic pole of Cambodia, a place to create jobs for the people, a city that is easy to live in and has a strong economy.

The third wastewater treatment plant, worth nearly 20 million VND, broke ground on September 18, 2021 and was completed on August 8, 2023 by Xwater technology Co. LTD.

The wastewater treatment plant is responsible for purifying wastewater into clean water that meets environmental standards before being discharged into the sea. The first wastewater treatment plant has a capacity to treat 5,200 cubic meters of wastewater per day, the second has a capacity of 7,200 cubic meters per day, and the third has a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters per day. These wastewater treatment plants use MABR's latest technology, which is stable, highly efficient, energy-saving, noise-free, and odor-free.
