(Oddaro Meanchey): The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction said that land management and land registration cannot be implemented alone, but must be implemented with the cooperation of all relevant parties for the work to proceed smoothly and effectively. Land registration is to create an environment free from land disputes in Cambodia and strengthen the security of legal land tenure, promoting land use to its full potential, which will certainly reduce poverty, which is the goal of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s policy to promote land registration.

Seizing this opportunity, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, instructed the Oddar Meanchey provincial administration to consider preparing a master plan, planning cities, houses, agricultural land, pedestrian streets and public spaces in accordance with the province’s potential in order to develop the province into a place with a comfortable and well-being living environment for its citizens. His Excellency mentioned the digital service that provides convenience for citizens to use and receive services anytime and anywhere with internet access. In addition, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the strategic work of the Ministry to officials and district administrations as well as the Oddar Meanchey provincial administration to strengthen cooperation and build internal unity, with the participation of all stakeholders in implementing policies and the cooperation and support of officials as implementers and the participation and support of citizens. At the same time, His Excellency handed over equipment to the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastre of Oddar Meanchey province to promote land registration work, including 10 measuring machines provided using funds from the LASED III project, 12 desktop computers, 8 laptops, 6 A4 printers, 2 A3 printers, 2 HP printers, 6 scanners and 8 EXTERNAL HDDs.
His Excellency Pen Kosal, Governor of the Provincial Government and on behalf of the State Land Management Committee of Oddar Meanchey Province, is committed to implementing land registration in a systematic and efficient manner with the goal of promoting registration according to the plan set by the Ministry of Land Management, in line with the vision of the Head of the Royal Government of Cambodia, who has urged to accelerate land registration work to continue to provide title deeds to citizens quickly, aiming to ensure security in land tenure and create a dispute-free environment throughout the country. His Excellency said that throughout Oddar Meanchey Province, there are an estimated total of approximately 180,000 land plots. He has promoted land registration for two years (2024-2025) for a total of 122,600 land plots, with a total of 54,445 title deeds registered.
