(Koh Kong): The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction highly appreciates Koh Kong Province, which has been making significant contributions to transforming the Cambodian coastal economic corridor into a stronger one. Based on this, land registry officials and all stakeholders must pay attention to completing land registration, ending land disputes, and providing satisfactory services to the Cambodian people.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal spoke at a meeting to promote land registration work in the Koh Kong Province geography department at Koh Kong Provincial Hall on the afternoon of May 7, 2024.
His Excellency urged the Koh Kong Provincial Administration as well as all stakeholders to pay attention to participating in organizing the city, increasing the beauty of the city to be more attractive by providing comfortable and safe accommodation options for tourists. In addition, it is necessary to clearly understand the great economic benefits and potential of Koh Kong Province to promote targeted development and jointly transform Koh Kong Province’s countryside into a rural Borey by building infrastructure such as water, electricity, schools, health centers, etc. to provide convenience for citizens to live, do business, and engage in various occupations to improve their family livelihoods.
Currently, Koh Kong province has an estimated total of 56,682 land parcels in 61 villages in 17 communes and 6 districts, which are continuing to register land systematically to achieve success according to the systematic land registration plan in 2024 of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.
To continue promoting land registration work, HE Say Sam Al handed over equipment to the Koh Kong Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastre, including: 4 desktop computers and 7 laptops, along with equipment and 6 scanners.
