The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction is committed to resolving land disputes in Kampong Chhnang province once and for all, as a model for resolving land disputes in other provinces, in order to move towards the completion of systematic land registration in this 7th mandate.

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal spoke at a meeting to discuss land registration in Kampong Chhnang province on the morning of May 9, 2024 at the ministry’s office, with the participation of inter-ministerial representatives including His Excellency Tho Jetha, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, and representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Ministry of Environment, and the Tonle Sap Authority.

His Excellency Say Samal urged the joint implementation of the policy to complete the registration of land, which still has approximately 5 million plots of land nationwide, and recommended accelerating the registration of all state lands, including schools, monasteries, conservation areas, and concession lands, etc.

Land registration completed according to the plan set out in the 7th legislature will contribute to creating an environment free from land disputes in Cambodia and strengthen the security of legal land tenure, as well as promote the full use of land to improve the living standards of the people and develop the economy better.
