(Phnom Penh): The Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has been fully responding to the public service reform of the Royal Government, especially in improving the capacity of officials, building institutions and motivating officials. This was stated by HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal in a seminar on improving the quality of concrete and testing construction materials on the morning of May 27, 2024 at the Ministry.

Through this seminar, HE hopes to receive additional inputs that can help promote the development of the construction sector to be more reliable to investors and construction users, based on the implementation of construction laws, legal standards and testing to confirm the quality and safety of construction materials, construction equipment and construction products by joining hands to promote testing and research.

Please note that today's seminar is the second seminar that the National Construction Laboratory has organized with the aim of presenting the organization and operation of the National Construction Laboratory, testing techniques and management of construction materials, construction equipment and construction products, by highlighting three topics to present:

1. Testing equipment and testing techniques, by showing modern Japanese testing equipment that was just installed last April.

2. Improving the quality of concrete by demonstrating concrete management methods, concrete production techniques, and concrete maintenance. The National Construction Laboratory has also drafted a technical manual for improving the quality of concrete, which is scheduled to be presented at a meeting in 2024.

3. Elevator technology prepared by Koyo Company, showing the technical characteristics of installation, use, inspection, and maintenance.
