(Svay Rieng): The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has confirmed that the work to be carried out after the land surveying and issuing ownership certificates to citizens is the urbanization work, which the ministry will complete in this 7th mandate.

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal spoke at the ceremony to distribute 9,349 real estate ownership certificates to citizens in Thmey Village, Santo Village, Trapaing Smach Village, Dok Por Village, Prek Romiet Village and Khuppatrach Village, Chrey Thom Commune and Pramat Pham Village, Kampong Trach Commune, Romeas Hek District, Svay Rieng Province on the morning of May 28, 2024.

His Excellency thanked His Excellency Sao Sokha, Head of the Royal Government Working Group in Romeas Hek District, and His Excellency the Provincial Governor for their proper leadership in completing land registration, creating a dispute-free environment and providing satisfactory services to the people in Romeas Hek District, and appreciated the efforts of all the working groups, land authorities, and the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastre of Svay Rieng Province, who have fulfilled their roles and responsibilities well, especially in the last 6 months.

With this, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister urged for cooperation and support from the people to achieve new successes in land surveying and issuing title deeds, which are the treasures of the people.

It is worth noting that the Royal Government of Cambodia, 7th term of the National Assembly, has launched the first phase of the Pentagon Strategy, which includes deepening land and urban planning reform with the establishment of a three-point land policy, including systematic land registration, out-of-court settlement of land disputes, and providing transparent and efficient land administration services to the people, aiming to improve the living standards of the people.

Land registration work to continue to provide title deeds to people quickly as a basis for economic resources and security of land tenure is the fifth priority of the 15-point policy priorities that the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has put forward, based on the priorities of the Pentagon Strategy in the Fourth Pentagon, the Fourth Angle.
