Sihanoukville: The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction stated that Cambodia is a small country, with a small population and a small economy. Therefore, if there is disagreement, the people who lose the most are the people. In this sense, we must all unite to raise the flag of internal national unity and join in eliminating extremism in the national society.

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal spoke at the inauguration ceremony of the 4th mandate of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Council on the morning of Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister praised and highly valued the Election Committee and the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Unity Command, the provincial administration, for helping to facilitate the process of organizing the election of the capital, provincial, city, district and khan councils for the 4th mandate to run smoothly, from the opening day of the campaign, during the election campaign until the election day. This proves the ability and responsibility of the Election Committee in ensuring that the election process in Cambodia is accurate, fair, smooth and transparent, which is another new pride for Preah Sihanouk Province as well as for Cambodia as a whole.

In response to the noble words of His Majesty the Prime Minister, members of the new provincial councils, which are the sub-national legislative bodies of coastal provinces, must recognize the potential of their respective provincial economic corridors to come together as a strong core force that can compete in regional and international markets.
