(Phnom Penh): The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction warmly welcomed and met with senior trainees from the 6th generation of the Leadership and Innovation Course of the Royal School of Public Administration who came to complete a study visit to learn about the implementation of the Single Window and the Ministry’s areas of expertise on the morning of June 13, 2024 at the Ministry’s headquarters.

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, considered today’s study visit to be an important moment in Cambodia’s history because the Royal Government of Cambodia in its 7th mandate has set a direction for building a modern state, and the Ministry has been taking many actions to respond to the King’s vision regarding the land management, urban planning and construction sectors.

His Excellency mentioned the historical truth that Cambodia has gone through many stages of regime change in each era until now, and this 7th mandate is the first time in Cambodia’s history that the transfer of state management responsibilities has been smooth.

His Excellency Say Samal said that the Prime Minister has been building a modern state that is strong, intelligent, vibrant and creative, with the Pentagon Strategy, Phase 1, the 6 policies and the 5 key rules as a unified map of the long-term vision for Cambodia to have ownership, maintain independence as a sovereign state and lead the Cambodian ship towards progress and prosperity.

His Excellency said that His Excellency President Hun Sen has put forward 3 important rules: human resources, institutional capacity and motivation. What the Prime Minister wants is to build a modern state, organize the country well to preserve the life of Cambodia for generations to come, by thinking in the right direction and doing it right, moving forward, not wasting time and resources, and not looking back. The tasks that the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has implemented so far are to participate in preparing the nation to respond to the vision of His Majesty the King, continuing the sustainability of the previous mandate and moving forward, raising the flag of internal solidarity, building a modern public administration by managing human resources, institutions and public finances, and cultivating the consciousness of civil servants, providing public services to citizens better, completing land registration, and ending land disputes across the country.
