(Phnom Penh): Speaking at the meeting of the Construction and Real Estate Working Group (“D”) with the private sector on July 22, 2024 at the Ministry’s office, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal welcomed the private sector to participate in all ideas to build and develop Cambodia moving forward.

HE Deputy Prime Minister said that in addition to other laws, including the Construction Law and related legal regulations, additional arrangements must be made to make the work of both the public and private sectors easier in order to ensure Cambodia’s economic growth, namely ensuring sustainable income, people having jobs, and living happily and with dignity, in line with the vision of the Royal Government of Cambodia, 7th term.

HE emphasized the objective of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction to ensure the convenience of life and daily living of Cambodian citizens by providing various services online without spending much time. In addition to completing land registration and ending land disputes across the country, the ministry also aims to prepare cities to become places that are easy to live in, including preparing infrastructure to support cities and infrastructure to provide services, including emergency services and firefighting services.

With this, HE the Deputy Prime Minister added that for the construction of sewerage and house heights, the ministry will set clear standards. As for urban issues, the ministry has set up a working group to determine the type and size of problems in order to easily resolve and avoid any problems that may arise with citizens.

It should be noted that the vision of the Royal Government of Cambodia, 7th term, is to ensure that citizens have a comfortable life, have jobs, have income, have decent housing in peaceful villages, are safe, have enough food to eat, receive education for all, live happily in their families and in the national society, and live proudly on their own land.
