(Kampong Speu): The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction presented a total of 19,840 property ownership certificates, equivalent to 10,758 families, to residents who own land in 30 villages in Ang Po Pel and Veal communes, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province, on the afternoon of August 7, 2024.
On that occasion, His Excellency Cheam Chansophorn, Governor of Kampong Speu Provincial Government, said that the property ownership certificates to be distributed to citizens who own land plots currently have 19,840 cards, equivalent to 10,758 families. Of these, Veal commune has 22 villages that will be distributed ownership certificates: Cham village, Kraing Teav village, Tbong Boeng Lekh Boeng village, Prey Khne village, Prey Toeng Khat village, Prey Toeng Duong village, Tbong Phnom village, Krasang Chime village, Prey Sdhe village, Trav village, Thmar Bang village, Trapaing Por village, Prey Khlong village, Prey Sbat village, Trapaing Veng village, Toul Lva village, Ta Yang village, Toul Khu village, Prey Chrey village, Prey Sbov village and Cheu Teal Chrum village. There are a total of 14,476 property ownership certificates, equivalent to 7,417 families. In particular, in Ang Po Pel commune, there are 8 villages that will be distributed land ownership certificates: Lva village, Chodap village, Tram Ranap village, Krasang Mek village, Samrong Rasmey village, Thlak Lean village, Samrong Chas village and Sok Mok village. There are a total of 5,364 land ownership certificates, equivalent to 3,341 families.
At the same time, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, on behalf of the leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia, thanked all the officials of the working group who volunteered to carry out the land survey mission for the people of Kampong Speu province. The results obtained so far are the result of the efforts of the officials, relevant expert teams and authorities at all levels as well as the citizens who participated in this important work to achieve results quickly. The dedication of the officials, teams and authorities has left a great memory for the people of Kampong Speu province and for myself in my working life, which has contributed to achieving many achievements for the motherland and the people of Cambodia.
His Excellency stated that promoting the completion of land registration and issuing title deeds to citizens is a strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia to manage and develop the land sector properly and reduce disputes more effectively.
It is worth noting that the Royal Government of Cambodia, 7th term of the National Assembly, has launched the Pentagon Strategy, Phase 1, which includes deepening land and urban planning reforms with the creation of a three-point land policy, including systematic land registration, out-of-court land dispute resolution, and providing land administration services to citizens with transparency and efficiency, aiming to improve the living standards of citizens.
Land registration to continue providing title deeds to the people quickly as a basis for economic resources and security of land tenure is the fifth priority of the 15-point policy priority directions that the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has put forward, based on the priorities of the Pentagon Strategy in the fourth pentagon, the fourth angle.
