(Phnom Penh): His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal said that this gathering is always held every year on the occasion of the Pchum Ben festival, a traditional Buddhist festival of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which is a good opportunity to show consideration as one family of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction and is a Khmer tradition, a gesture of kinship that should be adopted to uphold the flag of preserving this culture.

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister spoke during a meeting with 748 retirees, 12 Ministry Security Police officers, 22 sanitation workers, 7 gardeners and 116 contract officers working at the Ministry on the afternoon of September 23, 2024.

At the same time, HE the Deputy Prime Minister believes that this is not just a gathering to get to know each other, but also a participation in rebuilding the national society again, because after going through the Khmer Rouge regime, the Khmer Rouge completely killed the sentiments of the people, so now is an important time for us to rebuild the sentiments of the people and take a step forward.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister added that this is also a good and appropriate time to overcome ourselves in raising the flag of internal solidarity, continuing the sustainability, continuing the operation of the ministry, both in the management of the ministry, managing human resources and finances, and supporting a culture of solidarity among civil servants, because HE the Deputy Prime Minister believes that this non-sustainability has made Cambodia weak and divided in history.

On that occasion, HE the Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal stated that the word “building a nation” means increasing the savings of each person in the national society as well as in the family, so the Royal Government of Cambodia is working hard to put forward strategies to improve the lives of the people and change the face of the country for further development and progress.
