The General Department of Cadastre and Geography of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has fulfilled the priority work that has been set as the first battleground in the field of land management, urban planning and construction, which is to reduce and eliminate social disputes, focusing on “land registration” in line with the slogan “Complete land registration, dispute-free environment, satisfactory service” to reduce disputes, provide legal security and peace of mind in the ownership of citizens’ real estate, and build a harmonious society in Cambodia.
As a result, the survey work within one year of the 7th mandate, as of November 19, 2024, has achieved 3,44,485 land parcels, equivalent to 66.19%, of which 1,605,522 land parcels, equivalent to 33.81%, have not been surveyed, which will be completed in 2025.
In particular, for the issuance of ownership certificates, from November 1, 2023 to October 30, 2024, the Ministry issued 1,034,624 certificates, registered 44 state land certificates under special procedures, prepared to issue 4,423 certificates to citizens who left the ancient sites in Siem Reap city and Bakong Temple, and 24 certificates to the state, represented by the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts.
At the same time, the Ministry is working to promote the registration of state land, registration of indigenous community land, and Buddhist temple heritage land to be completed.
