The National Committee for the Management and Development of the Cambodian Coastal Zone (NCCDZ) of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has been implementing in line with the Royal Government of Cambodia’s objective of transforming the Cambodian coastal zone into a “modern national economic pole with sustainability, vitality, health and happiness and a world-class clean coastal tourism destination” to contribute to transforming Cambodia into an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050.

To contribute to the realization of Cambodia’s vision, the NCCDZ has promoted the management, planning, improvement and development of the Cambodian coastal zone, including:

– Strengthening the preparation of policies, laws and legal norms. The first priority project is the preparation of a law on the management and development of the Cambodian coastal zone, the draft of which has been submitted together with the draft law on land management and urban planning, which has completed extensive consultations, to continue requesting approval in accordance with applicable procedures.

– The project to develop a high-end public beach resort “Techo Peace Kep Beach” with a length of 2,700 meters from the crab market to the mangrove forest, located in Thmey Village, Prey Thom Sangkat, Kep City, Kep Province.

– The project to develop a bicycle path for tourism in the Cambodian coastal areas of Kampot Province, Kep Province, Preah Sihanouk Province and Koh Kong Province.

– The competition for the design of urban planning projects for the Cambodian coastal areas under the theme “Cambodia: My homeland, my city, my coast in my heart”.

– The project to prepare a tourist port and the project to improve and develop infrastructure in the Cambodian coastal areas of Preah Sihanouk Province, Kampot Province, Kep Province and Koh Kong Province.
