The General Department of Housing of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has been responding to the first phase of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Pentagon Strategy and two of the ministry’s 15 priority policy directions for the 7th term, namely housing and social land concessions.

The priority work of the General Department of Housing is the preparation of houses as houses of happiness, peaceful villages and rural villages, which include:

– House of Happiness: focuses on preparing houses with consideration for the elderly (parents, families), mental well-being, relationships between parents and children, and living together as a family under one roof according to Khmer traditions and lifestyles.

– Village of Peacefulness: Strengthening the implementation of the policy of safe, civilized villages, communes and communes (people who know themselves and are intelligent, who know the world, and who are not prejudiced).

– Rural Community/Rural Borei: Consideration of infrastructure packages (people, roads, water, electricity, technology), management plans and land use restrictions, and increasing economic value.
