The Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastre of Mondulkiri Province has been implementing the first phase of the Royal Government’s Pentagon Strategy and the 15-point policies of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.

Regarding land registration in the past, the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction of Mondulkiri Province has carried out its duties and responsibilities by achieving remarkable results. Through systematic registration, Mondulkiri Province is a province that has declared a complete land assessment area. In total, 92 villages, 21 communes/sangkats, 5 cities/districts have registered and issued a total of 40,323 land certificates, equivalent to 89,776 hectares, and 331,439 hectares of state land have been registered, equivalent to 18%.

In particular, regarding the registration of collective land (indigenous communities), Mondulkiri province has 36 indigenous communities recognized as legal entities, 27 communities have applied for registration, of which 7 have already been issued certificates, 8 communities have submitted requests for sub-registration (the Ministry of Environment has already responded to 7, but these 7 communities refused to accept the land size allowed by the Ministry of Environment because the offer was smaller than the size requested by the community), and 12 communities are in the process of registering.
