(Phnom Penh): The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction stated that the meeting was held to determine a common vision for the construction sector, aiming to make contemporary Cambodian architecture more quality, safe, beautiful, better protect the health and property of building owners, building users and the public, and have a good environment for sustainable living.
Speaking at a meeting on strengthening and increasing the efficiency of design study and construction inspection and certification, which was held at the ministry's headquarters on the afternoon of May 12, 2025, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the Cambodian Engineers' Association, the Cambodian Architects' Association, the Cambodian Builders' Association, the Cambodian Housing Developers' Association, the Investors' Association, construction inspection and certification companies, design study companies and construction companies.
On that occasion, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal said that the meeting was held to gather input from the members of the meeting in terms of consulting on whether the preparation of our legal documents is at a level that we have a consensus on or not for application to the current situation in Cambodia.
HE Deputy Prime Minister stated that what the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has been working hard to prepare is that the Ministry wants the construction sector to become a sector that is not stagnant and has a stable operation for Cambodian society, a place where people can express their talents, a place where people enjoy working, and to ensure that people working in the construction sector, such as construction workers, have a better life and hope in life.
