(Phnom Penh): His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, Chairman of the National Committee for the Management and Development of the Cambodian Coastal Zone, said that the meeting is to further promote the implementation of the Cambodian coastal zone development project to become a potential economic corridor, a place to create jobs and a place to increase income for the people.
Speaking at the meeting of the General Secretariat of the National Committee for the Management and Development of the Cambodian Coastal Zone (NCCDZ) held at the Ministry of the Interior on the afternoon of May 20, 2025.
His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister stated that what we are working hard to consider is so that the people in the coastal zone can clearly see the real progress, which is not just talk but also practical implementation, and that is what is the sacred desire of the Head of the Royal Government who wants to see the people living happily, reunited with their families, have enough food to eat, be healthy, have an income, have a better life, and live in a clean environment, especially wanting the coastal zone to be rich in human resources with knowledge and skills, as an attractive destination for investors from all directions.
Through this meeting, His Excellency instructed and encouraged the NEC to reach consensus to find a common vision by reviewing the necessary infrastructure that needs to be built, namely water, electricity, roads, including priority projects in the Cambodian coastal area, in the spirit of transforming the coastal area into an economic corridor in line with its potential.
