(Phnom Penh): The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction said that the meeting is to request additional comments regarding the urbanization gap and the determination of mechanisms and procedures for obtaining construction permits.
Speaking at a meeting to discuss the guidelines on urbanization gap and the issuance of construction permits, the authorities of the capital, provinces, cities, districts, and khans, held at the ministry's headquarters on the morning of June 13, 2025.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal stated that these are not the tasks of the General Department of Construction alone, but must be agreed upon by all general departments by participating in opinions, thinking together, and taking responsibility to implement this task well because it is time for all of us to be strong on our own to promote the development of the country moving forward.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that we all need to develop new mechanisms to improve the poor situation in the construction and urban planning sectors, because to create a dispute-free environment in Cambodia, only when we complete land registration and resolve construction disputes can we continue to provide satisfactory services to the people.
His Excellency instructed the members of the meeting to carry out their duties by setting mechanisms to ensure that the people are not pressured or affected, so that the people can accept all the principles that must be implemented in the construction and urban planning sectors.
With this, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal urged all officials to be smart, innovative, flexible, and able to solve problems around them in order to jointly develop the country to progress forward with independence and ownership.
