(Phnom Penh): Speaking at a seminar on the sustainability of construction through the promotion of construction experiments and the efficient use of air conditioning, held at the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction on the morning of June 26, 2025, HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal considered the seminar to be important and an opportunity for the participants and students to gain knowledge from the speakers, who are experts from the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, and also to light the way for all of us to walk towards a common consensus. HE Deputy Prime Minister stated that Cambodia is a small country with a small population, so every step taken must be the right step and cannot be taken backwards.
With this, HE thanked the National Construction Laboratory and all partners, especially DAIKIN Cambodia, for their efforts in organizing this important seminar. At the same time, His Excellency also thanked the Embassy of Japan for always cooperating closely with the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction. His Excellency considered that the diplomatic relations between Japan and Cambodia are a long-term cooperative relationship because Japan is a strategic player in the search for peace for Cambodia and a “close-knit” partner in helping Cambodia to survive again.
Through this workshop, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction began to think about Cambodia’s overall journey and put forward ideas for consensus, promoting understanding of professions and skills in the field of land management, urban planning and construction, while considering improving the quality of construction materials, construction equipment and construction products in a sustainable way to transform the construction industry and contemporary Cambodian architecture to be more qualitative, safe and beautiful in response to the Royal Government’s five-pronged strategy of transforming Cambodia into a land of happiness and a peaceful village for all.
