(Phnom Penh): His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction and President of the Union of Cambodian Youth Federations, Phnom Penh, stated that the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has started a new battle, namely the preparation of public and green spaces to build and change people's new mindsets, in line with the recommendations of Samdech Akka Moha Senadhipothi Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister, who focuses on human resources, jobs, quality of life, health and morals to open a new page for Cambodia.
Speaking at a meeting with school administrators, teachers and local authorities at Samdech Akka Moha Senadhipothi Techo Hun Sen Samrong High School on the morning of June 26, 2025.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that within the framework of schools, the Ministry has selected Samdech Akka Moha Sena Thipadei Techo Hun Sen Samrong High School, which is a community gathering preschool, primary, secondary and high school, as a model school to begin preparing to improve public spaces before moving on to other schools to participate in properly building and preparing a standard, diverse, dynamic and full of quality growth.
At the same time, His Excellency saw that Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen Samrong High School has a large and spacious space, so His Excellency advised the high school to try using architecture and redesigning the school according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction to change the mindset and learning environment for the better, by studying the school's campus layout, building concrete roads, installing solar lights and planting trees, trimming existing trees, maintaining adequate shade and ventilation, planting fruit trees, organizing gardens, parking areas for cars and motorcycles, building concrete walkways from one building to another, organizing proper garbage disposal and composting, organizing dining areas in an orderly manner, building walkways on the school campus, and organizing sports facilities, in other words, how to transform this school into a model school that teaches students to understand life skills, solve life challenges, and learn to live on their own to become quality human resources for participating in the development of the national society.
