(Phnom Penh): The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction held a meeting to discuss and build internal consensus on the preparation of legal documents in the construction sector in this mandate in order to have technical standards, guidelines and standards in the construction sector for Cambodians to use to ensure that construction in Cambodia is safe, quality and beautiful, opening a new page for our contemporary Khmer architecture.

Speaking at a meeting to discuss the draft technical guidelines on methods for implementing demolition work, the use of scaffolding and safety nets, methods of excavation and deep foundation drilling, methods of formwork, and the management of assembly work, MEP work and finishing work, held at the ministry's office on the morning of November 10, 2025.

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal stated that the meeting is to seek internal consensus to ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of construction-related work. In addition, the meeting with the National Council for Construction Regulations is also to build internal consensus on technical and political standards, so that the draft technical guidelines on methods for implementing construction demolition work, the use of scaffolding and safety nets, methods of excavation and deep foundation drilling, methods of formwork, management of assembly work, MEP work and finishing work are comprehensive and easy to implement with confidence, ensuring the quality of safety and aesthetics of construction.

Through this meeting, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction discussed to build internal consensus on the preparation of legal regulations in the construction sector in this mandate to have technical standards, guidelines as standards in the construction sector for Cambodians to use to ensure that construction in Cambodia is safe, quality and aesthetic, opening a new page for our contemporary Khmer architecture.
