(Phnom Penh): The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has advised all scholarship winners to study abroad to learn about their country clearly, know the potential of each geographical location, and work hard to study, research, and improve their abilities, gain knowledge from studying abroad, and return to participate in the development of the country to grow stronger.
Speaking during a courtesy meeting with 144 scholarship winners to study abroad for the 2025 academic year, which was held at the Ministry's office on the afternoon of August 5, 2025.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal expressed his joy with the 144 scholarship winners who have received scholarships to study in many countries, which is a great success in life for all the winners and also a great opportunity to know themselves better.
His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister believes that knowing yourself better makes relationships with family, friends, and social relationships broader and easier.
His Excellency Say Samal mentioned the clashes caused by the Thai army invading Cambodian territory without respecting international law, and this is a tragedy for Cambodia, but we all need to stand up strong, know ourselves clearly, and learn to live independently. Despite the situation, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister believes that this is a good time for Cambodia to strengthen its own capabilities, unite to support and increase local production, increase agricultural production with abundance, and respond to the value of products to promote national economic growth.
In particular, for the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, His Excellency also advised the leaders and civil servants under the ministry to start changing their mindset from land management and beautiful layouts to planning cities and towns with vibrant lives to improve the quality of life of citizens.
Please note that the winning students who received scholarships to study abroad for the 2025 academic year include: 12 Russian scholarships, 16 Hungarian government scholarships, 18 Chinese government scholarships, 27 JDS+MEXT scholarships, 13 Czech government scholarships, 11 French government scholarships, 3 Irish scholarships, and 44 Republic of Korea scholarships.
