His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, the representative of His Excellency Samdech Maha Bovorathdei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, together with Her Excellency Pheueng Sakona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, invited monks to chant mantras, count bowls, and offer prayers to the souls of the more than 18,000 victims who lost their lives at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Center during the 6th alms-giving ceremony.
As has been done every year since Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and former Prime Minister, until the Royal Government led by Samdech Thip Dei Hun Manet, the event was held at the request and request of the people, following the path of Buddhism, to offer alms-giving to monks who dedicated merit to those who died in atrocities in the brutal torture at Tuol Sleng Prison during the period 1975-1979.
