In response to this vision, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction and the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts have prepared the “Angkor White Book” to strengthen the basis for national unity in thinking, orienting joint efforts, and strengthening solidarity as a whole to jointly conserve the Angkor World Heritage Site for the greater good of the Cambodian nation.

At the same time, the Ministry is preparing land use regulations that will determine the types and conditions of land use in the 114 villages, as well as considering the preparation and improvement of priority sites in the Angkor site area and commercial locations for citizens.

The current discussion meeting was led by HE Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal, Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, HE Phoeung Sakona, Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, and HE Prak Sophorn, Governor of the Siem Reap Provincial Government.

The meeting highly appreciated the requests of representatives of citizens and authorities in the 114 villages and will use these requests as a basis for preparing future land use regulations.

Discussion meeting on the preparation and management of the Angkor World Heritage Site area
