(Phnom Penh) The leadership of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has informed about the priority work that the ministry is implementing in line with the vision of the Royal Government, including the registration of land, creating a dispute-free environment, organizing social land concessions, land management, urban planning and housing, etc.

Speaking at a working meeting with His Excellency General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, on the morning of March 12, 2025.

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Sam Al stated that the registration of land is to provide security in legal land ownership for citizens, eliminate land conflicts and promote national economic growth. The organization of social land concessions is like pulling approximately 500,000 families out of poverty.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction will register land for the army to provide security in legal land tenure and promote the establishment of a food production system for the army, requesting that the army units increase the number of cattle, pigs, chickens, ducks, fish and grow vegetables and crops to provide food for the army.

His Excellency General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, thanked His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Say Samal for his suggestions to support the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

Regarding the social land concession policy, His Excellency wishes to provide land to veterans and families who are truly poor and needy, so that they have land to live on and increase their family income. His Excellency also thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for considering and caring for the well-being and livelihood of Cambodian veterans and poor families through the provision of this social land concession.
